General objective:

Managing and operating computer systems and programs in the agency to ensure work continuity.

Mission:

  • Preparing plans for the unit's activities and following up on their implementation after approval.
  • Supervising the technical systems related to the vice presidency work, following up on the entry and updating the required data in coordination with the relevant organizational units.
  • Maintaining vice presidency’s programs and coordinating with the Technical Support in Information Technology Department to ensure work continuity.
  • Coordinating with the Programs and Applications Department to develop the vice presidency’s applications and systems.
  • Updating and organizing files, data and statistics related to the vice presidency activities and benefiting from potential technical capabilities.
  • Modernizing and streamlining the systems and applications used in coordination with Information Technology Department.
  • Participate in the annual inventories of the vice presidency devices and technologies and the processes of receiving and examining the devices and supplied technologies.
  • Analyzing agency statistics and arranging them clearly to facilitate decision-making.
  • Entering performance indicators and evaluation results into the database and coordinating with the Institutional Effectiveness Center.
  • Ensure the maintenance of all information technology equipment, including computers, printers, peripherals, and all communication devices such as phones, screens, smart boards, and others.
  • Provide recommendations on procuring equipment and software suitable for the work of the vice presidency and its affiliated units.
  • Provide support and technical assistance to all employees of the vice presidency upon request.
  • Document procedures related to managing and maintaining equipment, hardware and software.
  • Define the performance indicators for all activities related to the unit; review and develop them consistently.
  • Determine the unit's human resource needs and follow up on providing them.
  • Determine the unit’s employees’ training needs to nominate them for the appropriate training programmes.
  • Preparing periodic reports on the unit's activities and achievements and suggestions for developing its performance.
  • Any other responsibilities assigned to the unit.
