The University Vice Presidency for Academic Affairs, represented by the Joint Preparatory Year Department, organized an introductory meeting for new students in health, engineering and computer tracks, in conjunction with the start of the first semester of the academic year 1448 A.H., in Arar and Rafha, with the aim of preparing them for university life, and introducing them to the systems, services, and academic opportunities that support their journey since the beginning of their enrollment at the university.

The meeting began with a speech by the Vice President for Academic Affairs, Prof. Saud bin Abdulmohsen Al-Muqham, in which he welcomed the new students, stressing the importance of this stage in building their academic career, and the seriousness, discipline and awareness of university systems, and benefiting from the capabilities and opportunities provided by the university to enhance their success and excellence.

The meeting included an integrated introductory program that addressed the most prominent aspects related to the student's university experience, including academic movements, admission and registration procedures, the learning management system, e-services, and knowledge resources, in addition to introducing academic advising services and skill record programs, and the programs and opportunities provided by the Intellectual Awareness and Gifted Units to students.

The deans of the colleges also participated in the meeting to introduce the colleges, specializations, and tracks related to the joint preparatory year, and to answer students' inquiries, in a way that contributes to enhancing their awareness of their academic choices and the requirements of the next stage, and supports their ability to plan early for their university career.
