His Excellency the Vice President for Academic Affairs, Prof. Saud bin Abdulmohsen Al-Muqham, visited the university's branch in Rafha Governorate, as part of the field follow-up of the progress of the educational process at the beginning of the academic year, and to determine the level of readiness and academic and educational needs in the branch.
His Excellency began the visit with a field tour that included a number of classrooms, laboratories and educational facilities in the colleges of Computers, Information Technology and Pharmacy and the Applied College branch, during which he was briefed on the progress of the study and the available equipment, and the educational services provided by the two colleges to male and female students, in addition to identifying the needs related to the academic environment to support the regularity and efficiency of the educational process.
The program of the visit included a meeting with the leaders of the branch, during which the most prominent developments and academic topics were reviewed, and the existing needs and challenges were discussed, and the opportunities available to develop the educational environment and enhance the efficiency of academic work, in a way that contributes to supporting colleges and programs and improving the quality of services provided to students.
His Excellency also participated in the meetings of the academic councils, and congratulated the College of Computers and Information Technology on the occasion of three of its academic programs obtaining full program accreditation from the Education and Training Evaluation Commission, appreciating the efforts of the College and its employees that contributed to achieving this achievement, and stressing the importance of continuing to work on consolidating quality practices and maintaining and enhancing the gains of accreditation.
The meetings discussed a number of priority files, foremost of which is the preparation for the (Readiness 2027) exams, following up on the development of academic programs and enhancing their educational outcomes, in addition to reviewing the most prominent developments and development needs in the colleges, in order to support the quality of performance and raise the level of readiness of programs and students for the upcoming academic entitlements.
In another part of the visit, His Excellency the Vice President for Academic Affairs met with the faculty members, stressing the importance of their role in developing educational practices, supporting students academically, enhancing learning outcomes, and taking care of the quality of the educational experience, which is reflected in the level of achievement and performance, and contributes to achieving the university's academic goals.
The visit comes as part of the efforts of the University Vice Presidency for Academic Affairs to enhance the field follow-up of colleges and branches, direct communication with academic leaders and faculty members, and identify the needs and challenges in practice, in a way that supports the regularity of the educational process, enhances the quality of programs and outputs, and consolidates integration in academic work at the level of the university's colleges.
